COEX Convention Center
Renovated and reopened in May 2000, Seoul COEX (Convention
& Exhibition) Center has been the venue for many important
international meetings and conferences, including the
3rd Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM), the APEC Conference of
Tourism Ministers, and the International Geographical
convention. It also served as the International Media Center
for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan and it was
the site of grand-scale international conventions in
2004.COEX is the nucleus of the World Trade Center Seoul (WTCS),
consisting of the 55-story trade tower, the Korea City
Air Terminal, ASEM Tower, two first-class hotels,
a department store, plus the multi-purpose
entertainment venue, COEX Mall.
